Gurgaon Children’s Literature Festival 2019!
The Gurgaon Children’s Literature Festival (GCLF) gives children and young adults an opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of stories, explore their curiosity and develop a lifelong love of reading. In many cases, this magical journey through the world of stories often acts as that ‘aha’moment when a child discovers a thirst for learning and a realisation that books and stories will help open up hidden corridors to new adventures, gives flight to the imagination, and builds creativity. It creates a global understanding of culture and people, developing a wholesome sense of community.
This literature festival is an effort to build a passion for reading among children and parents. It is a small movement by Vega School to bring awareness in Gurgaon about reading good literature. Giving children access to over 10,000 books from national and international publishers, GCLF will help them discover their thirst for reading and learning.
The festival will feature India’s most renowned personalities from the world of literature. Some of them include Deepa Kiran (internationally acclaimed storyteller), Ajit Narayan (renowned cartoonist & illustrator), Benita Sen (children’s author & journalist), Roopal Kewalya (author & screenwriter), Nikita Arora (theatre professional & actor), and Vikram Sridhar (performance storyteller & theatre practitioner).
