Gurgaon’s Rajeev Chowk to get its Frist Vehicle Public Charging Station by EV Motors! EV Motors will set up 6500 Electric Vehicle charging stations within the next five years in India.

Overview

Gurugram’s first electric vehicle (EV) charging station will be ready at around end of March.

The deputy commissioner’s of Gurugram signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a private firm EV Motors for setting up a charging station for electric vehicles in GTown. This will be the first government-sanctioned electric vehicle charging station in Gurgaon.

This upcoming electrical vehicle charging facility for vehicles is scheduled to come up within a couple of months on National Highway-48, adjacent to the Rajiv Chowk intersection, at an establishment cost of Rs 13 lakh. (Picture for representation).

A total of three electric vehicles can use the facility at any given point of time to recharge their batteries. These stations will be high-capacity charging facility, An electric vehicle will take approximately an hour and a half charging time.

Millennium City Gurgaon is the largest corporate hub in India, Hence, the pollution levels in Gurgaon City have increased drastically. Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram City signed a (MoU) with Indus Tower Limited regarding setting up a public electric vehicle (EV) charging station in the city.

The vehicle owners can book their slots in advance and access the Wi-Fi lounge while waiting.
